Tokyo, Japan – STYLY, Inc., the provider of the spatial layer platform “STYLY,” is proud to announce its selection as a host for the prestigious Harvard Business School’s Immersive Field Course (IFC) in Tokyo. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in STYLY’s ongoing commitment to education and experiential learning.
The IFC, a vital component of Harvard Business School’s comprehensive two-year program, provides second-year students with a unique opportunity to engage in experiential learning in diverse off-campus settings. This year, over 280 students with an average of five years of work experience across various sectors like finance, real estate, consulting, healthcare, military, and technology, participated in the course.
STYLY’s CEO, Masahiro Yamaguchi, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are pleased to be working with Harvard Business School to provide students with a real-world learning experience in Japan. We feel certain that the students were able to gather insights here that they would never be able to glean from a classroom discussion alone.”
The course’s structure hinges on the expertise of Harvard’s faculty, who develop content that emphasizes student-centered active learning. This includes project work, site visits, guest speakers, and discussions with senior leadership, all designed to meet specific teaching objectives.
Harvard Business School is quick to acknowledge that this important learning experience would not be possible without the support and engagement of our hosts and partners.
“We are extremely grateful to STYLY, Inc. and all the host organizations around the world for all they do on behalf of our students,” said Professor Ramon Casadesus-Masanell, who led the group. “The students benefit immeasurably from this experience and we hope the host organizations do as well.”
This collaboration highlights our dedication to fostering educational opportunities and its role as a bridge between academia and the real-world application of knowledge and skills.
