“NEWVIEW SCHOOL” to be Held in Bangkok, New York, and Singapore! Take Your XR Works to the Next Level and Learn XR Expressions from the Professionals

The pioneering educational project “NEWVIEW SCHOOL” has launched in Bangkok, Singapore, and New York. Starting today, applications are open for this innovative program designed to teach new expressions in spatial computing and AR experiences in the city. All works will be created using the spatial computing platform “STYLY”.

◆Apple Vision Pro

Step into the future of technology with this exciting two-day workshop, designed specifically for enthusiasts eager to get a first-hand look at the yet-to-be-released Apple Vision Pro in Thailand. 【Lecturers】

Samustpon Tanapant- Assistant Professor

Samustpon Tanapant is an Assistant Professor at Thammasat University with a background in Architectural Design. He speci alizes in design computation and spatial computing, bringing innovative perspectives to his field. Samustpon has notably contributed to the metaverse for 7-eleven, and has a keen interest in location-based XR, aiming to transform urban landscapes into creative city layers. 

 

Chonthicha Arunrungkaokai – Creative Technologist

Chonticha pursued her undergraduate degree in Architecture at Thammasat University, where her focus and interest revolved around design and technology, particularly in the realm of robotics. Her past endeavors featured her significant role in creating Extended Reality experiences for UNESCO’s NEWVIEW XR FieldLAB and Boost Play Measure project.

 

Kalaya Kovidvisith – FabCafe Bangkok Co-founder

Kalaya Kovidvisith is Co-founder of FabCafe Bangkok and Managing Director of FABLAB Thailand. She holds a Master degree in Design and Computation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Her research interests focus on how digital fabrication and biotechnology reinforce the changing relationship in industry and create the new business model for the next design generation. Kalaya is Global Entrepreneur Summit Delegate of 2015 and Asia Pacific Weeks Berlin 2016.

NEWVIEW is a world-wide, simultaneous occurring, experiential project/community where people who embody modern culture such as fashion, music, film, graphic and etc., come together to design, develop, and share creative experiences in immersive spaces. We believe XR and spatial computing is a form of composite art and encourage artists and designers to bring their wildest imaginations and unique backgrounds and skill sets, digital or analog, to immersive realities for a spin.

Kyle Li – Assistant Professor

Kyle Li is a teacher, a hands-on experimentalist, and an immersive media designer based in New York City. His body of work explores playful experiences through interconnected physical and digital components. He is currently a program director of MFA design and technology program at Parsons School of Design and continues to offer design education for students of today.

【Lecturers】

Paul Yeh – Creative Technologist

Paul Yeh is a creative technologist at loftwork with expertise in XR & digital fabrication, and experience in developing acceleration programs for integrating design & technology . 

He is a key facilitator and program director for the Future Dynamic Program with National Cheng Kung University.  He is also part of the key team in the Creative Digital Lab’s acceleration program, in partnership with UNESCO, supporting designers in integrating technology and design using AR/XR as new media.

 

Jetsada Wongwanjaroen – Creative Technologist

Jetsada Wongwanjaroen is a Creative Technologist at Loftwork, specializing in immersive technology with a focus on augmented reality experiences. With an architecture background from Thammasat University, Jetsada has a solid foundation in design principles that guides his innovative approach to blending digital and physical realities.

 

During Bangkok Design Week 2023, in the MELTING REALITY exhibition, Jetsada collaborated with 10 Thai creators to design and develop AR experiences, exploring new business opportunities using immersive technology. In 2023, he also designed an Urban Augmented Reality experience for KAOMAI LANNA, a UNESCO Asia Pacific Cultural Heritage Conservation Award-winning site.

 

 

Tim Wong – Loftwork Taiwan Co-Founder

Tim received dual master’s degrees in Architecture and Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2005. With 7 years of experience in architecture and urban design, he has worked on projects across the US, the Middle East, and various Asian cities. 

 

His work includes comprehensive design and planning for architecture and urban development, immersive technology for urban application, business operation and program curation & management, revitalization projects for urban and rural areas, education and accelerator programs for addressing emerging social and environmental challenges.”
