Supported by the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ “Japan Creator Support Fund,” STYLY and the JIKEI COM Group have launched “Immersive Media Lab++.” This initiative is designed to cultivate a new breed of talent: “Immersive Media Creators” capable of crossing the boundaries between XR, video production, and spatial design.
This project aims to address the critical industry-wide challenge of a severe shortage in XR talent.
From personal XR content to large-scale spatial video productions, the global demand for immersive experiences is skyrocketing. Yet, there remains a significant global shortage of talent capable of working across disciplines—bridging XR, CG, video editing, architecture, and spatial design.
Immersive Media Lab++ is an educational partnership program created specifically to address this talent gap. The “++” represents two core concepts:
・Through a cross-disciplinary curriculum that goes beyond standard XR development, students master 3D spatial production, value-driven concept development, and advanced directorial techniques
・World-class mentors
- Tsuyoshi Nomura (STYLY Executive Officer / XR Producer / known for projects like “THE MOON CRUISE”)
- Katsutoshi Machiba (XR Producer & Director / 5-time nominee at the Venice International Film Festival)
・Global expansion exporting Japanese immersive content to the world through partnerships with educational institutions and cultural facilities across the globe
By uniting JIKEI COM Group’s nationwide excellence in practical, industry-aligned education with STYLY’s cutting-edge spatial computing platform, we are establishing a seamless ecosystem for talent development. Together, we bridge the gap between learning and real-world deployment, empowering a new generation of creators to immediately shape the future of urban innovation and entertainment.
Key Milestones:
